RHINOCORT® - Hayfever & Allergy

INCS stands for intranasal corticosteroid nasal spray. Rhinocort contains Budesonide, a corticosteroid, that acts as an anti-inflammatory in the nose.

Rhinocort should be used regulatory to keep your symptoms under control. Do not use for more than 6 months without the advise of your doctor or pharmacist.

It may take up to two or three days of using Rhinocort before you notice any improvement in your symptoms. See your doctor or pharmacist if your symptoms are not relieved within 7 days. In the meantime, antihistamines may offer immediate relief however, consult your doctor or pharmacist to determine the correct allergy management plan before use.

After your symptoms have improved, you should reduce the number of sprays you put into each nostril to one spray into each nostril. Rhinocort Original offers the lowest dose (32µg) that can control your symptoms.Refer to your pack insert for more information.

Seasonal allergic rhinitis are allergies typically triggered by outdoor allergens like tree pollen, outdoor mould, grass and weed pollens. Since it comes at certain times of the year, (often spring or fall), this type of allergy is known as seasonal allergic rhinitis.

Perennial allergic rhinitis are indoor allergies typically triggered by animal dander (tiny skin flakes or saliva from animals), indoor mould and dust mites, and occur all year round. This type of allergy is known as perennial allergic rhinitis.
